About Me

I began running in 1999 when my mom and sister where both running and if they could do, so could I.  I ran off and on for six years and two pregnancies.  In 2005 my sister and I decided we would run a "race for a t-shirt" as our New Year's resolution.   That year we ran the Koman Race for a Cure 5K in Salt Lake City and we were hooked.

Over the years, the distance progressed as did the speed and while I have a long way still to go to reach my full potential, I have come a long way in this journey.   For me, running has been the best way to start a day, the opportunity to push myself beyond what my mind sets as limits and makes me better than I was before.

I have developed long lasting friendships and met people who continue to inspire with their dedication and positive attitude to this sport we all love.
